Canadian Open Bike Polo Championships    8:00 AM-7:00PM

Saskatoon Hardcourt Bike Polo is pleased to present the second annual Canadian Open Bike Polo Championships. This 5v5 squad, 30-minute game tournament attracts bike polo players from across the continent. From Vancouver to New York, teams will take to the court to battle for the Canadian Open Championship title. Come watch world class bike polo right here in Saskatoon, or try it out for yourself after the games are finished for the day, both Saturday and Sunday. No fee for to attend, but snacks will be available, and donations encouraged.

Get Ready to Bike to Work Workshop  10:00-11:15 AM

Join us and learn how you can start biking to work or improve your current bike to work routine!  We will discuss the basic information that you need to get commuting, and will help you plan out your trip.  There is no cost for this clinic, and all participants will receive 10% off of any regular priced parts & accessories they purchase.

The Better Good Living Tour  12:00-4:00PM

Meet amazing people in your community doing great things that you can do too! It’s a self guided city tour visiting locations with gardens, solar power, natural swimming pool, chickens, fermenting, canning, land art, beef jerky, permaculture, bikes, art, music, joy, treasure hunt, Boreal forest, honey bees, fruit trees and a tiny home.
Plan to travel between zero and seven km’s (depending how many locations you choose) within the 4 hours. Pickup a map no earlier than noon and complete your adventure by 4pm.

Biking Scavenger Hunt Fundraiser 6:30-8:30PM

Make your Monday evening more fun with a friendly biking scavengar hunt to raise money to advance MS research and programming to support those affected by MS. Winning and participating teams run the chance of winning prize packs from great local businesses and organizations! Teams of 1-4, kids welcome.

Slow Roll – Bike Rave Edition    8:30 PM

Light up your bikes with lights and glow sticks – here comes the Bike Rave Edition of Slow Roll! We ride bikes slowly through YXE. Meet at 8:00 PM for pre-ride entertainment, courtesy of Karla Kloeble. At 8:30 we’ll roll through the city, accompanied by DJ Das Record live streaming music. We’ll wrap up underneath the South Bridge with some dancing.

Introduction to Bike Tune-Ups     6:00-8:00 PM  

Is your bike needing some love? Learn the basics of bicycle maintenance and how to get that bike running smoothly again. This workshop will be geared towards beginner to novice mechanics. Topics include:

Have you ever wanted to head out on your bike for overnight or for weeks at a time? Seeing the world from the seat of your bicycle is an immersive and intimate way to travel. This workshop will get you started on the basics of bicycle touring; on-road or off-road, fully loaded or light weight.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 19

Dark Matter Overnighter to Beaver Creek    5:30 PM  

Join us for a bike trip to Beaver Creek with an option to camp out! We’ll leave from Buena Vista Park at 5:30 PM, Friday, and ride to the Salvation Army Group Camp in Beaver Creek (approximately 18 km, cost: $10 if camping). The next morning we’d head to Fred Heal Canoe Launch for some beach time before the ride back to Saskatoon. Bring water, snacks, beach supplies, bike lights, a helmet, and something to cook over a fire; bring camping gear if you intend to camp. First time bike campers welcome!
